Virtual gifts - chatroulette persuaders

out: we are arguing with my friend here do you think if virtual gifts on social network are valuable to people? :)

out: well, many people won't bother with buying both, that's the matter of how many signs of attention people want to make :)
out: and virtual gifts is one of the way to do that, just like flowers, they rot after bought anyway :)
in: yes but they are not real objects...if you got a friend a virtual football instead of a real football, they may not be happy with that
out: but why instead? they can co-exist if you want :) and virtual one is easier to deliver, you can send many of them every day :)
in: but they cant do anything with them, you just look at them, with real gifts you can interact with them
out: well, people must be enjoying having gifts, they don't care much about the contents, but for the sign of attention.. and it cost something probably :)

out: and it depends, in first place, who's giving a gift. if you get a gift from a stranger - that's not exciting at all. but what if it's someone you know very well?
